Join our dynamic Finance Data & Processes (FD & P) team within the Specialty Lines (SpL) CH & International, where we are dedicated to shaping the future of finance. As a pivotal part of our mission, we empower finance professionals across departments - such as accounting and controlling - by fostering essential data skills and providing expert support on data-driven projects. Our team actively enhances existing reports, delivers hands-on training, and enables colleagues to independently drive process optimizations using modern data tools. For larger and more complex automation initiatives, you'll collaborate closely with stakeholders, taking on either an advisory or technical leadership role depending on the project's demands. As we continue to lead the transformation of the SpL CH & Int data landscape, the FD & P team is at the forefront of innovation and process excellence. Your responsibility
- Represent the finance team in exciting data infrastructure projects, shaping the future of SpL CH & Int and beyond
- Drive optimal use of cutting-edge tools and technologies across finance teams
- Design and implement end-to-end data delivery solutions and automated processes for enhanced efficiency
- Lead the development of engaging employee training programs in data analytics, empowering colleagues to upskill
- Support and coach finance teams to independently optimize processes and perform impactful data analyses
- Build and maintain robust data pipelines, reports, and models-directly supporting management and underwriting teams
- Advise, teach, and collaborate with finance teams to advance data-driven solutions and foster a culture of innovation
Your qualification
- Hold a degree in Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, Actuarial Science, or a closely related discipline
- Leverage your expertise in insurance and financial data, navigating complex accounting flows (premiums, claims, deductions) and standards (including local GAAP, IFRS17, and IFRS9) to make a real impact in a dynamic environment
- Showcase your coding skills in SQL, R, Python, or VBA-building automated data pipelines and working seamlessly across large databases and modern tools like Microsoft SQL Server, Excel, and PowerBI
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for finance teams and management
- Proven skills in collaborating across departments, supporting process optimization and automation initiatives
- Passion for continuous learning and empowering colleagues through training and knowledge sharing in data analytics
