About the job
You are responsible for our entire ICT – from strategy through projects to daily operations. In doing so, you lead a small team, manage our external IT partners, and work directly with senior management. This also includes the role of Data Protection Officer for Blaser Café AG and Blaser Trading AG. The role is deliberately broad: you participate in decision-making and get hands-on yourself.
Your focus: the ERP replacement The replacement of the ERP system at Blaser Café AG is planned, and you will lead this endeavour from start to finish: creating the requirements specification, tendering, evaluation, migration, and implementation. This is a multi-year project and the main focus of your initial time with us. Meanwhile, regular operations continue – balancing both is part of the task.
Your responsibilities
- Strategic and operational leadership of ICT: strategy, roadmap, and budget aligned with the company strategy
- Technical and personnel management of the ICT team (two employees and one ICT apprentice)
- Management of the ERP replacement and other ICT projects – digitalisation, automation of business processes, lifecycles
- Ensuring stable, secure, and scalable operations: network, servers, workstations, and applications (Microsoft 365, VMware, VDI, two ERP systems)
- IT security: security concepts, backup, disaster recovery, out-of-band management
- Role of Data Protection Officer for both companies: implementation of the Data Protection Act (DSG), management of the processing register, handling information requests, raising employee awareness
- Meaningful and compliant use of AI: assessing use cases, further developing our existing AI policy, ensuring data protection and data classification
- Management of external service providers including contract and SLA management
- Further development of IT service processes and support structure
Your profile
- Completed training in computer science (EFZ with further education, HF or FH), ideally business informatics
- Several years of experience in a comparable role with leadership responsibility
- Experience in evaluating, selecting, and implementing ERP systems – ideally including requirements specification and tendering
- Experience in project management, IT architecture, and system integration
- Knowledge of Swiss data protection law (DSG) or willingness to acquire it promptly
- Good SQL skills and experience in database operation
- You quickly understand business processes and translate them into viable IT solutions
- You can assess where AI brings real benefits in operations and where it does not – and understand the compliance aspects
- Strong communication skills: you explain IT topics so they are understood throughout the company
- Hands-on mentality – you move between board meetings and the server room
- Fluent German, good English skills in speaking and writing
What we offer
- Short decision-making paths and direct contact with senior management
- An ERP project that you are fully responsible for in all its breadth
- Above-average social benefits and an annual loyalty bonus
- The option to exchange half of the 13th-month salary for 10 additional days of holiday
- Two coffee training sessions per year with our professionals
- Workplace in the heart of Bern
