About the job

Since 2014, Gellert Hof in Basel has provided a home for around 134 residents. The offer includes residential areas for general as well as psychogeriatric care and nursing, a care living group for people with dementia and age-related visual impairment, as well as a residential area. In addition, Bethesda Park has 62 apartments with their own Spitex area for independent living in old age, located in the immediate vicinity of Gellert Hof.

The Gellert Hof retirement centre is part of Bethesda Alterszentren AG, a network organisation of various retirement centres in the German-speaking part of Switzerland, anchored in an open Christian value culture.

Head of Residential Area (100%)

• Professional, organisational and personnel management of a residential area
• Ensuring professional care and support quality
• Promoting a respectful, motivating team culture, targeted personnel development
• Close cooperation with relatives, doctors and interdisciplinary services
• Active participation in projects and further development of the area

• Diploma in nursing or psychiatry HF/FH or equivalent qualification
• Leadership experience and enjoyment in supporting employees
• Further training in leadership (e.g. leadership, ward management) is an advantage
