As a Category Field Manager, you control and develop your assortment area according to our category strategy. You bring innovations and trends into the assortment, analyse performance and ensure together with internal teams and suppliers that your products are optimally presented in the shop.
What to expect in your daily work
- Independent control and further development of your assortment area
- Responsibility for innovations, trend articles as well as ongoing maintenance and optimisation of the assortment
- Analysis of product performance, market and consumer trends and derivation of concrete optimisation measures
- Operational collaboration with suppliers on innovations, promotions and availability
- Planning, implementation and follow-up of promotions and campaigns together with the Lead Category and other responsible persons
- Close cooperation with marketing on campaigns and product placements
- Coordination of product launches as well as ensuring complete and correct product and master data, and optimal presentation in the shop
- Coordination with purchasing, supply chain, pricing, customer care, marketing and other internal interfaces
- Participation in cross-departmental projects and continuous improvement of our processes
Who you are
- 2–3 years of professional experience in category management, product management, purchasing or ideally with e-commerce experience
- Commercial basic training (EFZ) or an equivalent qualification, ideally in retail or e-commerce
- Further training in marketing, product management, purchasing or business administration is an advantage
- Analytical thinking, good numerical understanding and enjoyment of data-driven work
- Independent, structured and reliable working style with high initiative
- Team player with a hands-on mentality and enjoyment of cross-departmental collaboration
- Good MS Office skills, ideally experience with ERP and shop systems
- High digital affinity and openness to new tools and processes
- Fluent in German, good knowledge of English
