As an official partner of the Swiss Commercial Vehicle Association ASTAG, Xplanis supports the federal professional examination for dispatchers with X4fleet – making X4fleet a well-known name in the Swiss transport industry.
To support our further growth, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for a committed individual as Sales Manager & Project Leader (m/f/d) for our team in Bern. In this key role, you will accompany our customers from the first contact through to contract conclusion and the successful go-live of X4fleet. You will operate confidently in both the German-speaking part of Switzerland and the Romandie and work closely with our management, product management, and development teams. Our platform is continuously evolving – and you will bring the voice of the market directly into product development.
Your tasks – Sales
- Acquisition of new customers (transport companies, freight forwarders, logistics service providers) in the Romandie and German-speaking Switzerland – from lead qualification through needs analysis to contract conclusion.
- Conducting product presentations and demos of X4fleet – on-site at the customer and remotely.
- Preparation of offers and responding to tenders as well as conducting contract negotiations.
- Support and expansion of existing customer relationships (account management, up- and cross-selling).
- Maintenance of the sales pipeline and forecasts in the CRM as well as reporting to management.
- Representation of Xplanis at trade fairs, industry events and within the ASTAG network.
- Systematic incorporation of market and customer feedback into product management.
Your tasks – Project implementation
- Overall responsibility for implementation projects from contract signing to go-live – including planning, scheduling, budget and resources.
- Leading kick-offs and process workshops, capturing and analysing customer requirements as well as preparing technical concepts and specifications.
- Coordination of configuration, data migration and interfaces (e.g. ERP, telematics, accounting) in close collaboration with the engineering team.
- Conducting training for key users and supporting acceptance tests, assisting with the expansion of the learning platform.
- Stakeholder management on the customer side, project reporting and management of change requests.
- Structured handover to support and ensuring sustainably high customer satisfaction.
Your profile
- Completed studies at a university, ETH or university of applied sciences or a higher technical college (HF), e.g. in business informatics, business administration or logistics, or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in B2B sales of software or SaaS solutions and/or in leading IT implementation projects (e.g. ERP, TMS).
- Knowledge of the transport and logistics industry is a great advantage.
- Sound knowledge of project management methods (classical and agile); certification (e.g. IPMA, PMP, HERMES, Scrum) is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of business processes and IT as well as an affinity for data and interfaces.
- Negotiation skills, closing strength and a confident, winning manner – also towards the management of our customers.
- Independent, structured and entrepreneurial working style as well as high customer and solution orientation.
- Languages: fluent in German and French both spoken and written; English skills are an advantage.
- Willingness to travel within Switzerland and a category B driving licence.
