Do you enjoy static-constructive tasks and want to work on demanding and complex building construction projects? Then we have exactly the right position for you!
Our client is one of the leading integrated planning offices in Switzerland. Here, architects, electrical and building services planners, as well as civil engineers, work directly under one roof - interdisciplinary, innovative, and with a clear focus on sustainable industrial buildings and complex large-scale projects.
Your Tasks
- Calculate structures: You independently create static calculations and verifications for complex building and industrial constructions (e.g. logistics centres, data centres).
- Develop concepts: You sketch and design load-bearing, economical, and sustainable structural solutions (e.g. with a focus on recycled concrete and CO₂ reduction).
- Collaborate interdisciplinarily: You coordinate closely with architects, building services, and electrical planners within the shared BIM model.
- Support projects: You participate in internal project team meetings and represent your specialist area in technical coordination.
- Inspect on site: You conduct regular site visits and reinforcement inspections (approx. once a week).
Must-Haves
- Education: Completed studies in civil engineering (ETH, FH, university or equivalent), ideally specialising in structural engineering or structural design.
- Professional experience: 2-5 years of relevant professional experience in structural design in building construction, for example as a structural engineer, project engineer, or structural analyst.
- Statics: Solid practical experience in static calculation and dimensioning of structures.
- Building construction: Proven experience with building construction projects and a good understanding of constructive structural solutions.
- Language skills: Very good German skills in spoken and written form (at least B2/C1) to write reports and usage agreements precisely.
- Working style: High personal responsibility, conscientiousness, and enjoyment of close collaboration in an interdisciplinary team.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with complex building or industrial constructions, such as production buildings, logistics centres, halls, or data centres.
- Experience in massive or reinforced concrete construction.
- Experience with FEM calculations and common software for structural design.
- Knowledge of Swiss SIA standards; experience with Eurocodes is also welcome.
- Experience with BIM/Revit.
- Good English skills in spoken and written form.
Benefits
- Top projects: Collaboration with global technology and industry leaders.
- Strong team: Integrated, interdisciplinary collaboration on equal footing.
- Onboarding: Structured induction through a personal buddy system.
- Sustainability: Active participation in shaping CO₂-neutral structural concepts.
- Flexibility: 1 day home office per week & modern working time models.
