Head of Primary Department (Member of the School Management)

About the job

At our state-approved private school with over 100 pupils and more than 50 staff members, we teach children and young people from kindergarten to Year 10.

Our current head of the primary department wishes to devote more time to teaching pupils again in the future. For this reason, we are looking for a Head of Primary Department as a member of the school management from January 2027, but no later than 01.08.2027.

In this role, you will lead the primary department with around 15 staff members in educational, personnel, and operational matters. You will work in the school management team in a creative and cooperative environment and think and act both for your department and for the school as a whole. You are prepared to make an above-average commitment for the welfare of the pupils, the educational team, and the entire school. We offer you an exciting leadership role with scope for creativity and responsibility.

You are a team player, resilient, solution-oriented, entrepreneurial in thinking, and possess leadership qualities and organisational talent. You have high social competence and experience in personnel management and are proficient in common software programmes. Ideally, you have a headteacher or comparable qualification and additional training as a special needs educator.

Our school is conveniently located and can be reached by public transport from Zurich in about 16 minutes.
