For an established service company in the Bern area, we are looking for an experienced individual as Lead IT Infrastructure Engineer (m/f) immediately or by agreement. In this versatile role, you will work independently, actively contribute to the further development of the department, and gradually take on additional professional responsibility.

What to expect:
- Design, operation and further development of the IT infrastructure
- Participation in architecture, lifecycle and technology decisions
- Technical responsibility in the areas of Microsoft infrastructure, virtualisation, storage, backup as well as workplace and VDI
- Planning and implementation of infrastructure changes and technical projects
- Analysis and resolution of complex technical faults
- Leadership and coordination tasks within the engineering team
- Support and development of engineers in technical and organisational matters
- Further development of standards, documentation and technical solutions
- Collaboration with support, internal stakeholders, customers and external partners
What you should bring:
- Completed vocational training as an IT specialist EFZ or comparable qualification
- Several years of experience as a system engineer in demanding IT environments
- Experience in design, operation and troubleshooting of complex IT infrastructures
- Broad know-how in Microsoft Server & Cloud, virtualisation, storage, backup and VDI
- Good knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID and Microsoft 365
- Experience with VMware, ideally also Citrix
- Experience in leading and developing employees
- Independent, structured and customer-oriented working style
- Fluent Swiss German and German language skills as well as good English and/or French skills
