• Completed university degree (at least Bachelor), final degree obtained no more than one year ago
• Affinity for contemporary conflicts
• Active knowledge of a second official language and good English skills
• Good knowledge of the Swiss Army and its structures (officer of the Swiss Army is an advantage)

As a university intern in armed forces development, you will actively shape the future of our army by supporting us in developing contemporary methods and tools for armed forces development.

The Army Staff (A Staff) supports the Chief of the Army in leading the Defence Department area and is responsible for the overall military planning and development of the Swiss Army. Here, in accordance with political directives, the strategic foundations, armed forces development, and army and armament planning are developed, and tasks in the international security context are undertaken. The leadership, control, and coordination of all overarching cross-sectional areas (personnel, finance, real estate) also fall within the responsibility of the Army Staff.

The Swiss Army employs over 9,000 staff in four military and around 200 civilian professions – at 110 locations throughout Switzerland. The next generation is also taken care of: the Swiss Army trains apprentices in over 30 professions.
