The Police of Canton Solothurn guarantees high security for the people in the Canton of Solothurn - competently day and night. It operates an independent ICT infrastructure with a comprehensive range of highly available systems and applications. For the Command Department we are looking immediately or by arrangement at the Solothurn location for a Head of Department Servicedesk/Support and ICT Service Management, 80-100%.
Your responsibility
- As head of the Servicedesk/Support and ICT Service Management department, you bear the personnel, professional, and organisational responsibility for an economical, customer-oriented, and high-quality service operation.
- You steer and further develop the company-wide ICT Service Management, are responsible for the configuration and continuous development of the ICT service management tool, define and optimise service management processes, and ensure their uniform implementation as well as compliance with standards and quality requirements.
- In this role, you manage and optimise the service operation and initiate suitable improvement measures if necessary to ensure a continuous improvement process.
- Your area of responsibility includes monitoring service quality, compliance with agreed service levels, and coordinating escalation management in the event of critical disruptions.
- Your tasks include leading ICT overall and partial projects according to the HERMES project management method, representing the department in cross-organisational initiatives, and coordinating collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Your profile
- For this position, you have completed IT training with advanced professional education or a comparable qualification, preferably in business informatics, service management, project or process management.
- Several years of professional and leadership experience in ICT service management, operation and support of ICT systems, application management, as well as in leading ICT projects and procurement initiatives are required.
- You are characterised by pronounced independence, a structured and solution-oriented working style, and the willingness to take responsibility and actively drive continuous optimisation of processes and services with a continuous improvement mentality.
- You convince through teamwork, assertiveness, and a professional appearance. With your communicative strength and appreciative leadership style, you specifically develop employees further.
- You have very good German language skills, are willing to undertake extraordinary assignments and on-call duties, and hold a category B driving licence.
