About the job

The ***-Hotel al ponte is one of the leading conference hotels in the area. We have 54 hotel rooms with 130 beds. Our gastronomy area includes a guest lounge (40 seats), a well-maintained à la carte restaurant (100 seats) and the Gourmetstübli (30 seats), as well as seminar and banquet capacity for up to 220 people. Our establishment offers a rich and extensive selection of à la carte dishes, speciality menus, pizza and pasta, as well as business lunches.

We offer a varied training place in a modern hotel operation. We have a very lively à la carte restaurant. Events of all kinds take place with us, including business meetings, seminars, family celebrations, weddings and also catering events.

Training 3 years with Federal VET Diploma
The kitchen is a workplace for imaginative explorers and creative minds with a good sense of smell and taste. You will learn how to prepare tasty dishes from high-quality, seasonal ingredients and arrange them attractively on the plate. As a chef, you surprise guests anew every day. In the team, you master hectic situations with a cool head and a smile. Of course, you have nimble hands and are quite quick-witted. In addition, you are resilient, flexible and a team player. You are prepared to work on weekends and evenings.

Over three years, you will learn all tasks and processes in your area, enabling you to independently acquire the necessary knowledge for your dream profession. A modern workplace, a dynamic team and a lived cooking culture, among many other aspects, will contribute to providing the appropriate framework for your joy in the cooking profession. One day per week you attend vocational school in Burgdorf.
