We are looking for team players who, together with our multicultural team, accompany and support unaccompanied minor refugees so that they can find their way in their new life and integrate successfully.

Your opportunity:
Become part of our team at the MNA location Kilchberg and bring your skills and ideas to accompany unaccompanied minor asylum seekers on their journey. We are looking for a social pedagogue at 100% starting immediately or by arrangement.

Your responsibilities

• Scope for design: You actively shape the living and development environment of the young people and promote their independence as well as responsible living with regard to reaching adulthood
• Administrative responsibility: Take over the administrative file management for your reference clients and provide close social pedagogical work with them
• Diversity in everyday work: Cooperation with legal guardians, schools, sports clubs and many other partners.
• Creativity and innovation: Organise group activities and contribute your ideas to enrich life in the centre
• Mastering challenging situations: Crisis intervention and conflict management are part of your tasks as well as close social pedagogical work with the young people
• A completed education in social pedagogy, social work, psychology, educational sciences or a related field

Your profile

• Practical experience in working with young people is an advantage
• Interest and enjoyment in working with young people from different cultures
• Calmness in difficult situations and a high level of social competence.
• Team spirit, sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently
• Organisational talent and problem-solving orientation
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends
• Basic knowledge and use of MS Office
• Impeccable character (no entries in the debt enforcement and criminal records)
