The Kantonsschule Olten teaches around 1100 pupils at the grammar school, the specialised middle school (FMS), the secondary level P, and the preparatory course PH, employing around 175 staff. For the school management of Kantonsschule Olten we are looking for a Deputy Head FMS, 80-100% at the Olten location from 01.02.2027 or by arrangement.
Your responsibilities
- You are a member of the school management team.
- You are responsible for the pedagogical and organisational leadership of the departments specialised middle school, specialised maturity in health and social work, as well as the preparatory course PH.
- You lead the teachers and staff assigned to you, implement the decisions of the school management and the cantonal guidelines, and actively shape school and quality development.
- Teaching is also part of your workload.
Your profile
- You have a completed university education, a teaching diploma (Sek II) with several years of professional experience as a secondary school teacher, as well as training in school leadership or the willingness to acquire it.
- We expect a convincing leadership personality with a strong will to shape and high presentation skills.
- Familiarity with issues from the FMS/FM/preparatory course PH area and an awareness of collaboration with both sending and receiving institutions are among your strengths, as well as recognising and utilising scope for action and having a vision for the development of the FMS.
- Thanks to your excellent communication skills, enthusiasm, and resilience, you contribute together with your team to a smoothly functioning school operation.
