The Migration Office in the Canton of Solothurn is responsible for migration and asylum law matters as well as all tasks related to identity documents for Swiss citizens. For the Department Other Entry/Employment we are looking immediately or by arrangement at the Solothurn location for a Clerk, 80-100%.
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for examining and assessing residence applications of foreign nationals.
- For this, you conduct extensive fact-finding and issue residence, short-term residence and cross-border commuter permits.
- Furthermore, you draft demanding correspondence, legal letters and orders related to the subject area.
- In contact with companies and authorities, you advise them on questions regarding the issuance of permits.
Your profile
- You have a commercial apprenticeship or an equivalent qualification as well as professional experience, ideally in the migration sector or public administration.
- You are a team player and resilient, have a quick grasp and work independently, reliably and precisely.
- Solution-oriented thinking and the ability to cope well with time pressure characterise you as much as an interest in legal issues. Experience in the legal field is an advantage.
- Your profile is rounded off by editorial skills, confident German language skills as well as foreign language skills (French, English and others are an advantage) and comprehensive digital competencies (Office, CMI, various federal applications).
