What you can contribute

  • Manage parliamentary affairs and Federal Council matters
  • Coordinate parliamentary committee meetings and parliamentary session matters concerning the FOSA
  • Take responsibility for office controlling, ensuring that the director and management are always informed about the progress of Federal Council, Parliament, and office matters
  • Manage cross-functional projects for the design, introduction, and development of new business processes as well as continuous optimisation of process management
  • Ensure the efficiency of the director's assistance work by coordinating affairs, meetings, appointments, and administrative tasks
  • Take responsibility for organising management meetings, including minute-taking, and prepare and coordinate the director's public speaking engagements

What makes you unique

  • Advanced professional training (e.g. federal certificate in public administration, commercial employee certificate with additional training, etc.)
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in administration or coordination work, preferably within the federal administration
  • Proven knowledge of the conduct of Federal Council and Parliament affairs (including Acta Nova), knowledge of internal Confederation processes and structures
  • Ability to work independently and in a structured manner, talent for coordination and communication, customer orientation, reliability, and discretion
  • Strong active knowledge of at least one second official language and ideally passive knowledge of the third, with German and French being the main working languages

In a few words

You steer, coordinate, and monitor the conduct of Federal Council, department, and office affairs, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed according to their level. Furthermore, you assist the office director in planning current and political affairs, external events, and those organised by the office.
