Due to the retirement of the previous post holder, the Medical District Association Bern Regio (ABV Bern Regio) is seeking from 1 January 2027 or by arrangement a Head of Secretariat (m/f/d) 60 – 80%

The following exciting tasks await you:

• Management of a two-person secretariat of the professional organisation of doctors in the city and region of Bern
• First point of contact for our approximately 2,000 members
• Member support
• Management and responsibility of accounting
• Emergency service planning (creating deployment plans for emergency medical services)
• Close cooperation with the association board and other professional organisations
• Meeting preparation, planning, coordination and follow-up of meetings and sessions including minute-taking
• Responsibility for administrative and organisational tasks in day-to-day business
• Dispensation and complaints management in the area of medical emergency services according to existing guidelines
• IT and data protection problem solving
• Website maintenance
• Personnel management in the secretariat
• General secretarial duties
• Organisation of events

• Communicative, empathetic and open personality
• Completed vocational training in a service profession (e.g. commerce, health or social services)
• Good basic commercial knowledge or strong motivation to acquire it
• Experience in a similar position
• Very good PC user skills
• Confident German language skills, both spoken and written
• Independent, precise and structured working style and flexibility in a two-person team
• Personal responsibility and discretion
