The Office for the Enforcement of Sentences ensures the lawful, risk- and resource-oriented enforcement of final sanctions as well as deprivation of liberty during or outside a criminal investigation. With professionalism and commitment, we contribute to public safety from prevention to reintegration. Join us in working for an effective enforcement of sentences. For the Central Services Department (Legal and Staff Services), we are seeking immediately or by agreement, on a fixed-term basis for 12 months at the Solothurn location, a Legal Officer, 60-80%.
Your responsibilities
- You support the office management and the individual departments in legal, strategic, operational, and organisational matters.
- You independently handle legal issues from various areas of law, especially in finance, social insurance, and public procurement law.
- You lead projects as well as specialist and working groups or participate in them, particularly in connection with healthcare costs in the enforcement of sentences and procurement.
- You contribute to the development, updating, and management of internal office regulations and processes.
- You monitor developments in case law and legislation in the field of enforcement of sentences, ensure internal knowledge management, and support the Central Services team in administrative matters.
Your profile
- You are a service-oriented, flexible, and resilient individual with a university degree in law, preferably complemented by a lawyer’s licence.
- You also have experience in public administration, especially in enforcement of sentences, or in a comparable organisation, and possess knowledge of administrative procedural law and administrative processes.
- You have a flair for project, change, and organisational management and a strong affinity for numbers.
- Your good organisational, analytical, and editorial skills support you in your versatile role.
- A structured, careful, and independent working style as well as high social competence and good communication skills complete your profile.
