About the job

For an established and successful organisation in the Bern area, we are looking for an experienced individual as Head of Payroll & HR Services for our client. In this key role, you will take responsibility for the professional payroll processing of a large employee population and lead a well-coordinated team.

Your Tasks

• Professional and personnel management of a payroll team
• Ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for several hundred to over a thousand employees
• Participation in the operational daily payroll business
• Responsibility for year-end tasks as well as social security and withholding tax processes
• Further development and optimisation of payroll and HR service processes
• Close collaboration with internal stakeholders and various company departments
• Support in digitalisation and transformation projects in the HR environment

Your Profile

• Commercial basic training with further education in payroll, social security or human resources
• Several years of experience in operational payroll processing for a large number of employees
• Initial or solid leadership experience is an advantage
• Strong numerical affinity as well as a structured and reliable working style
• Experience with modern payroll and HR systems
• Confident German language skills
