The municipal administration of Birsfelden is a modern service company that provides a variety of tasks for 10,500 residents.
We are looking for a fixed-term position of 12 months (with the option of extension) in the Social Services Department immediately or by arrangement for a
Social Worker FH/HFS (80 - 100%, m/f/d)
The Social Services Department, with its 18 employees, is responsible for the provision of statutory social assistance, voluntary social counselling, asylum matters, as well as managing adult protection mandates. To complement and strengthen our team, we are therefore seeking a new colleague.
Your main tasks are:
Checking the eligibility requirements for receiving financial social assistance, taking into account the legal basis and the principle of subsidiarity
Developing and implementing goal-oriented individual support plans, including interdisciplinary collaboration within case management
Needs assessment for the economic integration of eligible persons
Advising individuals and families on personal, family, and financial matters within the framework of social legislation
Performing administrative tasks in cooperation with the administration team (tandem system)
Conducting assessments in the area of adult protection on behalf of the Child and Adult Protection Authority
Managing adult protection mandates on behalf of the Child and Adult Protection Authority
You have a degree in social work FH or a comparable qualification. Previous professional experience in financial social assistance, managing adult protection mandates, as well as knowledge of the Swiss social security system are advantageous. For this demanding role, we expect an independent working style, conceptual and solution-oriented thinking, as well as a high level of commitment and willingness to develop. Your profile is rounded off by your ability to work in a team and your strong skills in handling complex situations.
