The Asylum Care Department is responsible for coordinating accommodation as well as the administrative, financial and personal care of asylum seekers. The aim is to accompany people during the asylum process,
ensure their basic needs are met and coordinate cooperation with authorities, institutions and other specialist agencies. The position is limited until 31.12.2027 with the option of extension.
We are looking for a Specialist in Asylum Care (with option for department management)
with main tasks in administration and finance 60-80%
What you will do with us:
- Link between care, canton and municipalities
- Administrative processing from A to Z for clients, municipalities and canton
- Contract management and conducting negotiation talks
- Preparing payment runs for material aid/tickets etc. (cost credits)
- Preparing quarterly accounts for the canton and municipalities
- Preparing orders and clarifications
- Regularly requesting required documents
- Providing support in the care area if needed, including visits to accommodation
What you bring with you:
- Completed commercial training (e.g. commercial apprenticeship EFZ)
- Several years of professional experience, ideally in social assistance/asylum social law (status S, F and N)
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Independent, structured and reliable working style
- Resilience, flexibility and assertiveness
- Fluency in written and spoken expression
- Good IT application skills (Tutoris an advantage)
- Driving licence class B (a company car is available for business trips)
