You connect business applications, IT operations, and modern software delivery, ensuring that new releases reliably, controlled, and without unnecessary friction enter productive operation. In this role, you manage the entire lifecycle of business-critical applications and continuously develop the release and deployment processes.
Responsibilities:
Planning, control, and coordination of releases across various applications and platforms
Responsibility for a structured application lifecycle from introduction to further development and replacement
Coordination of application, infrastructure, security, and development teams within complex release cycles
Analysis of technical dependencies, risks, and impacts before productive changes
Establishment and optimisation of standardised release, deployment, and change processes
Control of testing, acceptance, and go-live activities
Coordination of deployments in hybrid and cloud-based environments
Monitoring of release quality, stability, and relevant KPIs
Support in incident, problem, and change management
Automation of recurring deployment and release processes
Creation and further development of technical documentation, release notes, and operational standards
Analysis of error patterns and coordination of sustainable solutions
Consulting internal stakeholders on technical and organisational questions regarding applications and releases
Qualifications:
Several years of experience in application management, release management, deployment management, or IT operations
Experience with complex enterprise applications and integrated system landscapes
Good understanding of software development and deployment processes
Experience with ITIL-oriented service management processes
Experience with change, incident, and problem management
Understanding of modern CI/CD concepts and automated software delivery
Structured and analytical working style with a strong quality awareness
Ability to present technical contexts understandably for different target groups
Confident stakeholder management across departments, IT, and external partners
Initiative, sense of responsibility, and enjoyment in continuously optimising processes
