You can contribute to this role
- Translate diverse, demanding texts mostly from German and occasionally from English into French: scientific and legal documents, websites, media releases, campaigns, correspondence, software localisation, etc.
- Ensure the quality of internally and externally translated texts, perform print-ready proofreading, collaborate editorially with clients
- Maintain terminology (e.g. in STAR TermStar)
- Answer linguistic questions (grammar, sociolinguistic issues, cultural transfer, etc.)
- Perform specific tasks: subtitle translation, transcreation, adaptation into plain language
- Assist with order management and handling of translation projects: order clarification, file preparation, CAT tool management, collaboration with clients and external translators
What makes you unique
- Master’s degree in translation or interpreting or equivalent training with professional experience in translation
- High commitment, quick comprehension, independent and precise working style, good resilience, excellent organisational and planning skills; structured and customer-oriented work
- Willingness to learn, initiative and strong team spirit, flexibility, transparency, openness and networked thinking
- Knowledge of industry-specific tools: order management systems, CAT tools, AI components; terminology software and more
- Basic knowledge of the Swiss political system and the healthcare system
- Active knowledge of two official languages and, if possible, passive knowledge of the third official language as well as very good knowledge of English
