About the job
Global Management Development Program - Outperformer Business Track
Built for Impact. Designed for Global Leaders.
This programme is designed to prepare you for a successful international leadership career. In this dynamic two-year programme, you are placed at the heart of our customer-oriented business model and take full responsibility from day one.
During the programme, you will work with global colleagues, engage with senior management, and be supported by a dedicated mentor. You will participate in global summits, rotate through key stations, and take on challenging projects with high visibility. This programme is more than just work: it is a transformative journey full of learning, growth, and valuable experiences that will shape your perspective as a young professional.
What You'll do
Our Global Management Development Program - Business Track is a 24-month graduate programme in which you rotate through various stations at local and international levels. Each rotation provides insights into our customer-oriented business model and imparts the fundamentals of the Hilti business model, complemented by strategic project tasks.
The programme is divided into the following four phases:
- 12 months in the sales organisation as an Account Manager or Field Engineer, where you gain experience and thoroughly understand the core of our business: customers, products, services, and software (in your home market organisation - DE, AT, CH or NL)
- 3 months in a project within your home organisation, where you take responsibility for a project in areas such as logistics, human resources, finance, marketing, or engineering
- 6 months in a strategic project at your regional headquarters for Central Europe in Kaufering, Germany. You will work in logistics, human resources, finance, marketing, or engineering
- 3 months in a strategic project outside Central Europe. This gives you an international perspective and allows you to experience different working cultures and market requirements. If you come from an established market, you will work in an emerging market – and vice versa.
What You'll Bring
- Master's or MBA degree in business administration, finance, or a comparable field; the programme is aimed at graduates from 2024 to 2026
- Fluent English and German skills; additional languages are an advantage
- At least 6 months of international experience through study, internships, or initial professional experience
- Between 6 and 30 months of initial professional experience, for example through internships, scholarships, or a first permanent position
- A global mindset and international mobility – you look forward to diverse cultural experiences and are ready to work and live abroad during your career
- Enjoyment in learning, growing, and embracing new challenges in a dynamic environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to collaborate across teams
- Initiative, adaptability, and a creative, results-oriented approach to solving problems and driving improvements
- Driving licence
What's In It for You
You will receive the support you need to learn, grow, and actively shape your career. In addition to an exceptional experience, you will be accompanied by an experienced leader as a mentor.
In addition to the specific training you receive during the four strategic projects in the two-year programme, Hilti provides you with the necessary tools for your future international leadership career through a series of courses and events:
- Introductory Global Summit: Experience four days at our global headquarters in Liechtenstein – with the presence of our Executive Board and our Global Senior Leadership. The summit offers you a comprehensive overview of our business, enhances your soft skills, and enables intensive collaboration with other programme participants.
- Social Project Summit: Seven days during which you actively contribute to a better future – by working on a practical community project with high impact. This experience gives you the opportunity to immerse yourself in another culture while concretely improving the living conditions of people in challenging situations.
- Leadership Summit: An enriching learning journey in collaboration with a renowned business school – with online modules and joint projects with other programme participants. The conclusion is a five-day campus summit where you deepen your insights and further develop your business and leadership skills.
