As a Senior ServiceNow Administrator, you take on a key role in the Enterprise Service Management team of Group IT. Our ServiceNow platform is growing – more instances, more modules, more complexity. Together with our two experienced platform administrators, you are responsible for the technically demanding operation and further development of the platform. You add additional depth to the team in scripting, integrations and platform engineering and act as a technical sparring partner who shares know-how and develops it further with the team. The workplace is at our location in the Ambassador House in Zurich-Opfikon and from your home office.
Your responsibilities
- Together with the admin team, you take on the technically demanding tasks on two productive instances (ITSM, CSM) and ensure that data models, integrations and automations remain stable and maintainable.
- You are responsible for CMDB governance, master data and data quality across both instances.
- You maintain and further develop existing integrations and automations – and regularly perform health checks and instance scans.
- You contribute to the ongoing platform operation within the team — focusing on security reviews, patch verification, system housekeeping as well as quarterly health checks and instance scans.
- You are responsible for the platform lifecycle: quarterly cloning, release upgrades and feature release planning.
- You work closely with external ServiceNow development and integration partners on the further development of more complex functions and integrations and ensure their clean integration into platform operations.
- You actively bring your specialist knowledge into the team, share know-how in scripting, integrations and platform engineering, and at the same time learn from the long-standing platform and process experience of the existing team.
Your profile
- You have several years of experience in operating and further developing ServiceNow platforms – ideally in a role that combines administration and technical configuration.
- You are familiar with the ServiceNow platform in depth: scripting (JavaScript, GlideRecord/GlideQuery, ScriptIncludes, Business Rules), Flow Designer, CMDB and integration mechanisms are part of your daily work.
- You are CSA-certified (Certified System Administrator). Further certifications such as CAD or CIS are welcome – we actively support you in further developing your certifications.
- Experience with Customer Service Management or other customer-oriented SN modules is a plus – more important to us is your willingness to familiarise yourself with new modules.
- You have experience with instance maintenance (upgrades, cloning) and a good understanding of data architectures and platform health.
- GenAI and Now Assists are a central future topic for us – we will massively expand the AI capabilities of the platform in the coming years. If you already have experience here, even better. If you want to explore this field with us and push it to the limit – even better.
- You communicate technical matters clearly and understandably – also to non-technical stakeholders. Sharing knowledge is natural for you.
- Your very good German and English skills complete your profile.
