Your responsibility:
- At the museum reception, you are the first and central contact person for visitors, large and small guests as well as school classes from home and abroad.
- You manage the museum cash desk, the information counter, the museum shop, the museum café and organise tours for groups and events.
- You work in the back office handling telephone support for our guests and booking of offers.
- The Museum BL is open Tuesday to Sunday; occasionally evening events take place and on some public holidays the museum is also accessible. Together with your colleagues, you cover the opening hours of Museum.BL, including weekends.
Your background:
- You have a commercial vocational training, training as a retail specialist or several years of relevant professional experience.
- You are IT proficient and confident with common Windows applications.
- You are communicative, cooperative, flexible and enjoy dealing with people.
- You work independently, take on challenges and solve them with commitment.
- You have good written and spoken German skills; basic knowledge of foreign languages is an advantage.
- For this role, teamwork, a neat appearance and polite demeanour are essential.
