The Clinic for Forensic Psychiatry (KFP) consists of the Expert Opinion Office, the Centre for Forensic Psychiatry Inpatient (ZFPS) and the Centre for Forensic Psychiatry Outpatient (ZFPA). The Expert Opinion Office produces numerous expert reports annually for official clients. The ZFPS includes six wards with a total of 74 beds, where mentally ill offenders are treated within the framework of court-ordered therapeutic measures (Art. 59 Swiss Criminal Code) and crisis interventions are carried out for patients from correctional and remand prisons. The ZFPA operates a forensic outpatient clinic and offers a prison psychiatric consultation and liaison service.
Profile
- You have completed training as a qualified nurse HF/FH and preferably have professional experience in psychiatry
- You are willing to complete the CAS Leadership course
- Your attitude towards offenders is risk-aware and appreciative
- You enjoy working in an interdisciplinary team
- You possess exceptionally high social skills
- You have strong communication skills
- You are characterised by very high self-reflection and ability to accept criticism
Tasks
- You are committed to interdisciplinary collaboration and promote the framework conditions for implementing the treatment concept
- You share responsibility for the professional, organisational and administrative management of the care team, consisting of qualified nurses, social pedagogues, employees with a correctional services specialist certificate, and health care assistants
- You share responsibility for the further development of the forensic ward, contribute your expertise, including in the design of milieu therapy, and represent the ward and the organisation both internally and externally
- You share responsibility for the future-oriented promotion and development of the department’s staff with regard to the ward’s mission and the organisation’s objectives
- You work on a ward with group settings, treating and caring for patients under measures, with a focus on offence prevention and rehabilitation
- You ensure the well-being of our patients in a three-shift system
- You are jointly responsible for the training of apprentices within the framework of the training mandate
