About the job
The Association of Public Transport (VöV) is the national umbrella organisation of public transport companies across all sectors (regional passenger transport, local transport, tourist transport, freight transport). At the federal level, the VöV represents the interests of transport companies vis-à-vis politics, authorities and third parties and promotes a customer-oriented overall system of public transport in Switzerland. In addition, the VöV is responsible for various basic, advanced and continuing education programmes and the Railway Technical Regulations (RTE). We work closely with the industry organisation Alliance SwissPass.
As a talented lawyer, you are familiar with the legal areas related to public passenger transport or have the motivation and broad interest to deepen your knowledge in this field. Support our small team as
Lawyer (60% - 80%)
in the areas of general contract law, passenger transport law, labour law and corporate law, procurement law, data protection law as well as education law. Start date 1 January 2027 or by arrangement.
Your tasks
You will carry out legal clarifications in the above-mentioned areas of law, both for our employees and member companies as well as for cross-association committees. A key area of responsibility is work for the Public Transport Ombudsman. Furthermore, you represent the interests of VöV and Alliance SwissPass in working and project groups as well as vis-à-vis various actors at the national level (authorities, private sector and others).
Your profile
- You have a degree in law (MLaw) and preferably some initial professional experience in a legal environment.
- You have an interest in mobility issues and association politics.
- Your mother tongue is German, French or Italian. You have very good oral and written German skills (level C2) as well as good oral and written French skills (at least level B2).
- You are characterised by discretion and a confident oral and written manner of expression.
- You enjoy dealing with people and a strong customer orientation is important to you. Your strong powers of argument, initiative and decisiveness complete your profile.
