On behalf of our client, a private bank in the Geneva area, we are looking for a Senior Commvault Administrator

You will ensure the operation and development of the backup and restore platform to guarantee data protection and compliance with RPO/RTO objectives. You will also contribute to infrastructure renewal and strengthening cyber resilience.

The start is planned for early January, within the framework of a six-month Try & Hire with the prospect of a permanent contract. Participation in 24/7 on-call duty may be organised according to your availability and the team’s needs.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure the daily administration of the Commvault platform.
• Supervise backups and handle job failures.
• Perform restoration requests (files, virtual machines, databases, etc.).
• Create, modify and maintain backup policies.
• Manage Media Agents (Windows, Linux and Hyperscale X), storage libraries, Disk Libraries and Storage Policies.
• Monitor the capacity of storage spaces dedicated to backups.
• Control backup performance and propose optimisations.
• Participate in restoration tests and disaster recovery exercises.
• Create audit reports on request.
• Maintain operational documentation and procedures.
• Provide level 2/3 support to infrastructure and application teams.
• Perform updates to the Commvault platform and apply security best practices.
• Participate in the 24/7 on-call service to ensure the continuity of the backup platform and intervene in case of critical incidents.

We are looking for a profile meeting the following criteria:

• Higher education in IT or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in Commvault administration, on-site and in the cloud.
• Good understanding of deduplication, retention and restoration mechanisms.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, VMware backups, Microsoft applications and Oracle, SQL Server or MySQL databases.
• Strong knowledge of storage, SAN and networks; experience with Hitachi VSP, HPE Alletra and object storage appreciated.
• Knowledge of AVS and Microsoft 365 environments; skills in PowerShell, Unix scripting or Ansible appreciated.
• Rigor, autonomy, analytical mindset and ability to manage priorities and emergencies.
• Good interpersonal skills and team spirit.
• Commvault certification and banking experience are assets.
