About the job
Business Automation & IT Manager (80-100%)
Join our tipee team!
Located in the heart of Lausanne, we are an SME with about fifty passionate collaborators. We develop tipee, a time management and HR portal application that has been simplifying our clients' lives for over 10 years.
Operating in a participative and agile mode, our company is organised in circles where everyone is autonomous, has a say, and opportunities for growth within the company. All this with a positive impact for our clients, colleagues, the community, and the environment.
To strengthen our organisation, we are looking for a Business Automation & IT Manager. This transversal position places you at the heart of tipee's operations: you help teams save time through automation and AI and make our work environment reliable, efficient, and pleasant.
At tipee, we believe that AI can sustainably streamline work and create tangible gains. We want to widely integrate it where it makes sense, with the discernment, security, and simplicity necessary for uses that are sustainable over time.
Your daily role
Reporting to the CTO, you work in close partnership with our DPO and the tipee teams:
You work closely with all teams (product, customer success, sales and marketing, admin) to identify opportunities to simplify and speed up their work.
You are on the lookout for new opportunities offered by AI to evolve our ways of working, automate what could not be automated until now, and open new possibilities.
You also know when AI is not the right answer, preferring more conventional and robust solutions: workflows (n8n), scripts, API integration, etc.
You are the reference person for internal IT: preparation and deployment of workstations, asset management, pragmatic problem solving, and continuous improvement of the work experience.
You maintain a heterogeneous and flexible work environment, with Linux, macOS, and Windows workstations. You favour simple standards, adapted to uses and risks, rather than uniformity for its own sake.
You implement the IT actions of our ISO 27001 approach: monitoring measures, access management, team awareness, basic cybersecurity training, and follow-up of corrective actions. You aim for truly effective security, not dogmatic controls that encourage circumvention.
What we are looking for
Practical experience in automation or tool integration, combined with systemic thinking: you know how to start from a concrete need to design and implement an appropriate solution.
A strong interest in professional uses of AI, with the desire to turn them into tangible gains and the discernment necessary to distinguish useful experiments from fads.
Comfort in Linux, macOS, and Windows environments, as well as a taste for solving varied problems through logic, observation, and experimentation.
Clear communication, initiative, and a taste for collaborating with both technical and non-technical people, while bringing your own ideas.
Fluency in French for daily exchanges and in English for technical resources.
You do not need to be a specialist in every subject, nor have the perfect background on paper. We are mainly looking for a reliable, curious, and versatile person, with good technical reflexes, capable of understanding a need, imagining a solution, and implementing it.
