For our Sales Industrial Heating department at Leister International AG, we are looking for an entrepreneurially minded, assertive and customer-oriented personality who actively shapes markets and recognises new business opportunities. In this international key role, you will develop new markets, applications and business opportunities together with our sales partners, specifically expand existing potentials and decisively drive the sustainable growth of our Industrial Heating business division.
- Responsibility for active business development in defined sales territories in close cooperation with our international sales partners
- Identification and development of new markets, applications and business fields with a focus on sustainable and profitable growth
- Development of market potentials through regular visits to sales partners, customers, OEMs and end users
- Building, further developing and maintaining long-term relationships with distributors, strategic customers and relevant industry players
- Joint development and implementation of growth strategies with sales partners and local market organisations
- Support, coaching and training of sales partners to increase market presence and exploit market potential
- Active identification of new customers as well as recognising and realising cross- and upselling potentials
- Analysis of market trends, customer needs, competitors and new technologies to identify future business opportunities
- Development and implementation of go-to-market strategies for new products, applications and target markets
- Support of sales and sales partners in complex customer projects and technical applications
- Handling enquiries from selected direct customers and OEMs as well as coordinating technical and commercial issues
- Ensuring knowledge transfer between market, customers, sales partners and internal specialist departments
- Regular reporting on market potentials, activities, opportunities and target achievement
- Participation in trade fairs, conferences and industry events for market positioning and lead generation
- Regular international travel (approx. 20%) to develop markets and support sales partners on site
- Technical and/or commercial education with further training at FH, HF or TS level
- Several years of successful experience in business development, international sales or market and business development
- Proven success in developing new markets, applications or business fields
- Sound knowledge of industrial markets, ideally in mechanical engineering, plant construction or in the environment of technically demanding capital goods
- Experience in working with international sales partners and distributors
- Strong understanding of market analyses, growth strategies and their successful implementation
- High degree of initiative, entrepreneurial thinking and result orientation
- Convincing appearance as well as the ability to win people over, motivate partners and drive projects forward
- Negotiation skills, assertiveness and strong communication skills in an international environment
- Excellent networking and relationship management skills
- Confident handling of CRM systems as well as Microsoft Office applications
- Very good German and English skills in spoken and written form; additional languages such as French or Spanish are an advantage
