In this leading educational centre for business, trade and industry, over 9,500 people annually receive initial and further training in vehicle, building, electrical and communication technology as well as at the Advanced Technical College.

We are looking for an immediate or agreed start of a

Technical Assistant, 80 to 100 Percent (a)

Are you passionate about engines, diagnostic systems, high-voltage technology, tools and modern vehicle technology? Do you enjoy practical work, think ahead and ensure that our teachers and course participants find optimal conditions? Then you are right with us.

Your job with us

  • You work closely with our vehicle technology teachers.
  • You build demonstration models, technical learning aids and equipment for teaching.
  • You keep devices, tools and training infrastructure ready for use and carry out maintenance and minor repairs.
  • You set up internship and training rooms and ensure they are optimally prepared for courses.
  • You organise, procure and manage materials, spare parts and consumables and ensure their timely availability.
  • You support building technology with material procurement as well as with preparing and providing materials for inter-company courses when needed.
  • You are an important contact person in the background and ensure that the training operation runs reliably.

What you bring with you

  • A completed apprenticeship as an automotive mechatronics technician EFZ, agricultural machinery mechanic EFZ, construction machinery mechanic EFZ or an equivalent technical basic education.
  • Good knowledge of mechanics, electrical engineering, electronics and modern vehicle technology as well as an interest in high-voltage systems.
  • Enjoyment of diagnostic systems, technical equipment and practical solutions.
  • Responsibility and independence are natural to you.
  • Ideally, you have further training in vehicle technology or diagnostics (e.g. automotive diagnostician with a federal certificate of competence) or are willing to complete this further training with us at STFW.
