In this varied role, you will take on the professional, personnel, and administrative leadership of the municipal administration. Together with your team (a total of 20 employees), you will ensure the competent implementation of the legal framework and resolutions of the municipal council or the Hölstein sovereign (from September 2026, as part of an administrative cooperation, also those of the municipality of Lampenberg). In everyday life, you are a sparring partner for your employees, the staff unit for the municipal council and the municipal assembly, as well as the implementer of diverse projects. As a modern service provider, you deliver all internal and external services cost-effectively and performance-oriented. To succeed in this exciting hub function, organisational and leadership strength, high social competence, engaging communication skills, and great flexibility are required. Essential for your success is your enjoyment of a generalist role as well as a flair and a strong

interest in political affairs

Formally, we expect initial leadership experience, solid commercial knowledge, advanced training (HF, FH and/or a diploma as a municipal administrator), sound IT skills, and confident German language skills in speaking and writing. Ideally, you have already gained professional experience in public administration.
