Your Responsibilities
Process Analytics (MTPRO) is a division within the METTLER TOLEDO Group and a leading provider of field instruments for the analysis of liquids and gases in the process industry. At our headquarters in Urdorf, we develop and produce high-quality sensors for controlling production processes, which we sell worldwide through our own market organisations.
Within MTPRO, "PO Ingold" develops and produces sensors for process analytics and control in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, biotechnology, and the food industry. The portfolio includes, among others, pH, dissolved oxygen, dissolved CO2, conductivity, and turbidity.
Our R&D department consists of four teams, each with a specific technology focus. The position advertised here is part of the Single-Use Sensor Team, which is involved in developing new single-use sensors and sensor technologies for biotechnology as well as maintaining the existing single-use product portfolio. To strengthen the team, we are looking for a structured and solution-oriented individual as

for development projects in the area of our sensors for the biopharmaceutical industry. Besides participating in sensor development, the role particularly includes taking on the function of Dangerous Goods Officer and being the contact person for chemical safety at the site.
In this role, you will undertake the following tasks:
- Testing and characterising process sensors under laboratory and application conditions
- Developing test cases and test plans for verification and validation of sensor developments as well as evaluating and documenting test results
- Assuming the role of Dangerous Goods Officer and contact person for chemical safety questions at the site (approx. 20%)
- Supporting sensor development through prototype manufacturing, planning and preparing experimental setups, data collection, and data analysis
- Maintenance and calibration of equipment
- Completed university of applied sciences degree in chemistry, biotechnology, or a similar field
- Completed training as a Dangerous Goods Officer according to GGBV is an advantage
- Solid experience in the safe handling of chemicals and laboratory processes
- Knowledge of various analytical techniques (pH, ion-selective electrodes) and ideally experience with bioreactors
- Experience in chemical safety and/or as a Dangerous Goods Officer is an advantage
- Careful and methodical working style
