About the job
Organisation is your strength. You care about people.
Parish Secretary 60 %
In the Gut Hirt parish, people meet in the most diverse life situations. At baptisms, weddings, farewells, celebrations, or in the everyday parish life. To make all this succeed, a personality is needed in the background who keeps an overview, enjoys organising, and values contact with people.
For our parish office, we are looking for a committed, warm-hearted, and service-oriented person who enjoys a varied administrative role and feels connected to the values of the Catholic Church.
You will work in job sharing with an experienced and valued colleague. Together, you will ensure that our parish office is managed reliably, professionally, and with a lot of heart. You will benefit from appreciative exchange and a cooperative partnership.
What to expect
As the first point of contact for the parish, you ensure that people feel welcome and that administrative processes run reliably. The English-speaking Good Shepherd community also has its home here. Regular exchange and a trusting collaboration are therefore a natural part of your daily work.
Your varied tasks include, among others:
- Reception and advice for visitors as well as operating the telephone switchboard
- Independent handling of correspondence and general administrative tasks
- Collaboration and administration related to baptisms, first communions, confirmations, weddings, and funerals
- Design of the parish page in the parish newsletter as well as maintenance of the website and other communication channels
- Management of room reservations and coordination of various organisational processes
- Organisation of the annual and service planning
- Maintenance of member administration and support of the parish team in administrative and organisational matters (KiKartei)
What you bring
You work in a structured way, keep an overview even in lively situations, and approach people with openness, appreciation, and joy. In addition, you have:
- a completed commercial apprenticeship or a comparable qualification
- several years of professional experience in an administrative role
- very good German skills in spoken and written form, English and other languages are an advantage
- good knowledge of MS Office programmes
- an independent, reliable, and discreet working style
- organisational talent, team spirit, and service orientation
- interest in church life as well as familiarity with the Catholic Church and its values
What you can look forward to
- a varied and meaningful activity with a lot of personal responsibility
- a thorough introduction and close cooperation in job sharing with an experienced, warm-hearted colleague
- a committed and appreciative parish team
- a workplace where people, community, and professionalism are equally important
- modern employment conditions
Would you like to contribute your organisational skills in a lively environment and actively shape the life of our parish? Then we look forward to meeting you.
