Your new role In this demanding position, you bear overall responsibility for the strategic, personnel, and financial management of the Social Services with around 150 employees. Together with your leadership team, you continuously develop the organisation and its services and create the conditions to ensure that people in challenging life situations are reliably, professionally, and effectively supported.
This position is for you if- You have a university degree in Social Work, Law, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification.
- You bring several years of leadership experience and successfully lead, promote, and develop employees and managers.
- You live a respectful and binding leadership culture, lead with clarity and empathy, and build trust.
- You possess sound knowledge of the social sector and can manage a complex service area professionally, organisationally, and economically.
- You actively shape the strategic development of an organisation and implement change processes with foresight and persuasiveness.
- You move confidently in a political environment, think networked, and win different stakeholders for common solutions.
The Social Services make an important contribution to social cohesion in our city. They support people in various life situations and fulfil diverse statutory tasks, especially in the areas of social assistance including social and professional integration, the management of child and adult protection mandates including support for private guardians, maintenance matters, social pedagogical family support, and assisted living. Effective, professional support tailored to the needs of the population and a high quality of service are central to their actions.
