The laboratory provides the analytical basis as an important part of enforcing food and environmental protection legislation.
What else you should know
The Biology Department primarily examines the microbiological quality of drinking water and food, thereby making an important contribution to consumer protection. Both standardised procedures and modern molecular biological methods such as PCR and Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS, Nanopore) are used.
We combine proven microbiological analysis with innovative technologies and continuously develop our methods. We place great value on reliable, high-quality analysis as well as practical and solution-oriented teamwork. You can expect a varied field of activity where you can apply your professional knowledge, learn new methods and contribute to the further development of our analytical expertise.
