Are you fascinated by IT risk management and artificial intelligence? Would you like to actively help shape how Zurich uses new technologies safely and responsibly? Do you enjoy analysing complex contexts, making risks transparent, and formulating recommendations that support decisions up to the highest level?

As an AI & Life IT Risk Manager, you are part of the Risk Management division in IT risk management and actively shape the further development of Zurich Switzerland. Together with your team, you take on a central role in monitoring and controlling AI governance and risks. You also focus on strategic and operational IT risks in the Life business area. You can expect a dynamic environment that promotes innovation, responsibility, and collaboration - and where learning and development are explicitly encouraged. With your structured thinking and pragmatic working style, you sustainably develop our risk management around AI and IT.

What to expect

• You take on a key role as an expert for AI risks in monitoring and ensure a structured AI governance process
• You are the central contact person for IT risks in the Life business area and support stakeholders with new products, projects, and migrations
• You make risks transparent, question existing assessments, and conduct structured risk analyses together with the business
• You actively develop the AI governance framework further - in close collaboration with Legal, Compliance, and IT
• You bring the risk and governance perspective early into IT projects and new AI use cases to ensure innovative solutions are implemented safely and responsibly

What distinguishes you

• Completed studies with a technical focus (e.g. computer science, business informatics), supplemented by further training or certifications in IT and risk management (e.g. CRISC, AAIR, CISSP or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor)
• Professional experience in IT or AI risk management, ideally in the insurance industry (life advantageous) or another regulated environment
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and standards (e.g. EU AI Act, NIST, COBIT) - or willingness to quickly and thoroughly familiarise yourself
• Strong analytical and technical competence, high affinity for data and technology, as well as a structured, independent working style with quick comprehension
• Enjoy working with various departments, ability to communicate complex topics clearly, and very good German and good English skills in spoken and written form
