We are looking for you

We combine a strong project business with a growing product and operations business. The digitalisation of processes and products is a cornerstone of our strategy. We are looking for you to operate our IT infrastructure reliably and efficiently and to support our employees in projects and everyday work:

• In this versatile role, you are the central contact person for a wide range of IT topics. You move with equal ease between practical support in day-to-day business and strategic IT issues.
• In the area of Office ICT, you are the first point of contact for all IT concerns of our employees: from support of workstations, networks and peripherals to solving IT problems. You are confident working in heterogeneous environments with Linux and Windows systems.
• In the area of server landscape, you are responsible for the operation and further development of our infrastructure, both on-site and in the cloud, ensuring it remains stable, secure and up to date.
• An important part of this is our cloud infrastructure based on Kubernetes: You maintain and further develop our containerised applications, support deployment and scaling issues, and help ensure our systems run robustly and efficiently.
• You support our team in the on-call service and occasionally take on maintenance work outside regular working hours to ensure smooth operation of our systems.

Your profile

• You have several years of experience in system administration (Linux and Windows) as well as in operating cloud and container infrastructures (ideally Kubernetes).
• You are used to dealing with both complex infrastructure issues and everyday support requests, and you enjoy switching between strategic and operational tasks.
• You are characterised by a strong service orientation and respond to the concerns of our employees in a friendly and solution-oriented manner. You work independently, tackle problems pragmatically and keep an overview even in hectic situations.
• You are interested in the topics Meteotest works on and enjoy collaborating with our specialists. You are a person who likes to share knowledge, communicate well and connect people.
• You are willing to take responsibility as part of the on-call service and for maintenance work outside regular working hours.
• You have completed training in the IT field (apprenticeship, university of applied sciences or equivalent experience). You have good German and English skills, both spoken and written.

The salary ranges from CHF 70,000 (Junior) to CHF 100,000 (Senior FH) gross per year plus on-call allowance, depending on experience.
