To complement our team at the RZB Gampelen centre, we are looking for a night and weekend care staff member at 60% to start immediately or by arrangement.
Your Responsibilities
- Know, practise and respond correctly in emergencies – coordinate with fire brigade, police, medical emergency organisations and centre management. This responsibility is primary for this position and is highlighted separately here
- Support a meaningful and well-organised daily structure. Introduce and accompany our clients in their new environment
- Act as a contact and trusted person in all matters
- Carry out administrative tasks and reporting
- Monitor and ensure the safety of residents during the night
- Support and contribute to safe accommodation by enforcing house rules, attendance and cleanliness checks, de-escalation talks in conflicts up to taking sanctions
- Ensure basic medical care
Your Profile
- Completed school and vocational training
- Several years of professional experience (at least 3 years), preferably in migration or social work
- Basic knowledge and use of MS Office applications
- Impeccable character (no entries in debt enforcement or criminal records)
- Calmness in dealing with difficult situations and openness to different cultures
- Problem-solving oriented
- Initiative and personal responsibility
- First aid course SRK
- First national language: Written B2, Spoken B2
- Second national language: Written B1, Spoken B1
- Additional asylum-relevant language (advantageous) | spoken: B1 | written: B1
You will commit yourself proactively and fully to the entrusted area of responsibility. You are characterised by outstanding communication skills and always take personal responsibility. Through your strong problem-solving orientation and organisational talent, you handle complex tasks effectively. You communicate skilfully, your positive attitude to life is motivating and promotes collaboration.
