To strengthen its communication and economic affairs service, the city is looking for a:
Event Manager (70%)
Your mission:
Coordinate and/or implement the logistical and technical aspects of events (mostly small scale with 3 major events per year) in collaboration with the 15 departments of the administration and ensure technical feasibility with possible support from external providers.
Your main activities:
- Based on a mandate from a municipal service, determine the needs in equipment, resources, and external providers, in line with the allocated budget;
- Carry out the steps to reserve or order the necessary equipment and resources for the agreed period;
- Ensure the reception or, if necessary, the transport of equipment within the agreed deadlines and check the conformity of the ordered equipment;
- Ensure the coordination and monitoring of assembly, installation, technical and logistical aspects related to the event and check their proper functioning;
- Ensure the coordination and monitoring of the dismantling of the equipment used;
- Provide the requesting service with all necessary information for invoicing;
- Keep the inter-departmental event calendar up to date and update the procedure as well as a list of tasks to be done when organising an event;
- Keep the inventory of equipment directly under your responsibility up to date and ensure its maintenance.
Your profile:
- Certified training in audiovisual or/and logistics, or equivalent;
- Professional experience in sound, lighting, projection, and event coordination;
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position;
- Fluent in French;
- Solution-oriented mindset, responsible and able to take initiatives wisely;
- Organised, flexible and able to work independently while developing good collaboration with the two other event managers;
- Service-minded and able to demonstrate interpersonal skills;
- Good physical condition; driving licence essential, ability to drive a manual transmission car;
- Comfortable with common IT tools;
- Flexible regarding working hours (irregular, evenings and weekends).
