About the job
Do you know the construction industry – and enjoy it when everything runs smoothly in the background?
At Penzel Valier, sophisticated architecture and engineering projects are created. To ensure these projects function well not only in planning but also organisationally and economically, people are needed who keep an overview, consolidate information, and support project management in day-to-day business.
For our competence circle Management + Processes, we are looking for a committed individual for construction administration and project assistance.
You don’t need to know everything yet. Much more important are your interest in the construction industry, your structured way of working, and your willingness to develop professionally.
Your tasks
You support our overall and project managers in the organisational and administrative handling of our construction projects.
This includes, among other things:
- Support in construction administration and project organisation
- Preparation and maintenance of cost and project data
- Support in construction cost control, cost forecasts and evaluations
- Assistance in the creation and processing of tenders and tender documents
- Obtaining, preparing and comparing contractor offers
- Support in awards, contracts for work and orders
- Maintenance of schedule, project and document structures
- Support in invoice verification and construction accounting
- Updating project information and documentation
- Preparation of meetings, discussions and decision-making bases
- Coordination and follow-up of open points
- Support of project management in organisational and administrative matters
- Collaboration with architects, engineers, site managers, contractors and other project participants
With increasing experience, you will independently take on more demanding tasks in the areas of costs, tendering and construction administration.
What you bring
You have a commercial or comparable education and ideally already experience in the construction industry.
You fit particularly well with us if you have worked, for example, as:
- Project assistant
- Project administration
- Construction clerk
- Commercial employee of a construction company
- Assistant site management / project management
- Clerk in architecture or engineering
- Employee GU/TU
- Real estate clerk with reference to construction projects
We are not looking for a pure assistant personality. You should be interested in looking behind the projects and understanding how costs, schedules, tenders and construction processes are interconnected.
What is important to us
- Commercial training or comparable qualification
- Initial professional experience, ideally in the construction, architecture, engineering or real estate environment
- Interest in construction projects and economic contexts
- Confident handling of MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook
- Very good German language skills
- Independent, structured and reliable way of working
- Enjoy coordinating information and keeping an overview
- Clear and binding communication
- Willingness to develop professionally
Experience with Messerli, construction administration software, tenders or construction accounting is a plus – but not a requirement.
What to expect from us
You are not just "the administration" with us.
You work directly on our projects and have the opportunity to gradually build up expertise in construction administration, cost management and tendering.
You work closely with our overall managers, project managers, architects and specialist planners and thus gain a comprehensive insight into the creation of complex construction projects.
We offer you:
- challenging and varied construction projects
- a versatile interface function between administration and project work
- the opportunity to take responsibility and develop professionally
- short decision-making paths and an interdisciplinary environment
- modern work equipment and digital processes
- a collegial environment with direct communication
- a workload of 80–100 %
