About the job
As a Junior Cloud Operations Engineer, you take responsibility for the reliable operation and continuous development of our SaaS platform. You operate in a demanding multi-cloud and Kubernetes environment, ensuring that our platform runs stably, securely, scalably, and efficiently.
For our locations in Baar, Baden, Bern, and Zurich or remote, we are looking for you to support our cloud team.
Your tasks

- You analyse and resolve disruptions, conduct root cause analyses, and actively contribute to the further development of our observability. As part of the team, you are the point of contact for internal teams, customers, and partners, and you take turns covering 2nd-level support and on-call duties
- You actively develop our monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana, create meaningful dashboards and alerts, and ensure that potential problems are detected early
- You automate the setup and management of our cloud infrastructure with Terraform and ensure with ArgoCD, Docker, and CI/CD that new applications are reliably and automatically deployed on Kubernetes
- You ensure secure and resilient systems, further develop backup and disaster recovery concepts, and regularly test their practical suitability
- You keep our runbooks and operational documentation up to date, optimise recurring processes, and automate what does not need to be done manually
We are looking for doers
- Completed apprenticeship, 1-3 years of experience in this field
- Broad knowledge in the areas of networking, security, virtualisation, containers (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) and scripting languages (Bash, Python)
- Solid Linux knowledge (Ubuntu/Debian, RedHat/CentOS)
- Curiosity, efficient working, and entrepreneurial thinking
- Very good German and English skills
Strong reasons for BSI
- Flexible career paths and diverse training opportunities
- Personal support in daily projects and for your development
- Appreciative company culture, no hierarchy
- Entrepreneurial design and participation opportunities
- Contribution to lunch (Lunch Check)
- Flexible workplaces
- Possibility to buy holidays, sabbatical, and workation within the EU
Sounds exciting? Convince us with your CV, work and study certificates, and a motivation letter. You are welcome to tell us when you would be available and with what workload.
Here is what happens next: We will review your documents internally and usually get back to you within a week. Typically, you can expect an interview with us, which takes place in person at our BSI locations. Instead of assessments, we value getting to know each other.
