You can contribute in this role

• Handle telephone and written enquiries (first-level support) from members of the army, command centres, commanders and citizens on topics ranging from orientation day to recruitment to discharge from military service of a member of the army – partly in Italian and French

• Support users of the service manager, the digital platform for interaction between army members and administration, as well as handle access, operation and process questions
• Provide solution-oriented information and situation-appropriate advice, forward complex or non-specialist concerns to the responsible specialist departments
• Maintain and continuously update the knowledge database for frequently asked questions to ensure uniform information and service quality
• Maintain close exchange with other departments to improve customer satisfaction

What makes you unique

• Commercial vocational training with experience in customer support as well as good knowledge of the army organisation
• Communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Responsible, independent working style and strong customer-oriented behaviour
• Existing military training is an advantage, ideally senior non-commissioned officer or officer of the Swiss Army
• Very good oral and written knowledge of two official languages and, if possible, good knowledge of a third official language

The Training Command (Kdo Ausb) is responsible for training within the Swiss Army – from recruitment through basic training to leadership training for the militia and professional military. The Kdo Ausb includes senior leadership training, the personnel department of the army, five training units, the training centre as well as the specialist unit for women in the army and diversity. One third of the approximately 2,350 employees work in civilian professions in scientific, technical, medical, psychological, administrative or sporting fields and contribute to success together with the professional military.

The Swiss Army employs over 9,000 staff in four military and around 200 civilian professions – at 110 locations throughout Switzerland. The next generation is also taken care of: the Swiss Army trains apprentices in over 30 professions.
