About the job
As Procurement Manager, you are responsible for the operational and strategic management of our international production network. Your goal is to build and maintain a high-performing, resilient producer network that combines flexibility for unique items with industrial efficiency. You are directly responsible for achieving margin targets as well as maximum product availability. You ensure that growth, punctuality, and our ambitious sustainability goals go hand in hand. You are the economic and scheduling pace-setter for the creation of our products.
Your Mission
- Network Architecture & Resilience: Build and strategically develop a resilient producer portfolio to minimise dependencies and risks.
- Capacity Planning and Control: Plan and negotiate production capacities and optimally allocate quantities to producers based on their strengths and utilisation.
- Product Availability & Delivery Reliability: Proactively ensure product availability by monitoring the entire production chain. You are responsible for strict adherence to delivery dates and intervene immediately in case of impending delays, taking over communication with stakeholders.
- Margin Management & Price Negotiation: Full responsibility for achieving target margins through price negotiation. You have price authority for negotiating and approving purchase prices within margin targets.
- Sustainability & Partner Governance: Ensure FREITAG sustainability goals and social standards within the supply chain as well as enforce sustainability compliance in the network. You decide on qualification or escalation in case of poor producer performance.
- Contract Management & Launch Management: Negotiate and fix Service Level Agreements (SLAs), binding delivery quantities, and deadlines. You manage the launch schedule and are responsible for regular reporting of production status to stakeholders.

- You have completed studies in textile management, business administration, supply chain management, or a comparable qualification
- You bring several years of experience in production control, disposition, or strategic purchasing
- You have proven success in ensuring delivery dates (OTIF performance) and margin optimisation
