Payroll Specialist 50–60% (m/f/d)

About the job

For a client in Zurich with more than 200 employees, we are looking for an independent, team-oriented, and self-reliant individual to start immediately or by arrangement.

Your tasks

• Independent and timely execution of the monthly payroll processing
• Ensuring correct and legally compliant payroll accounting, taking into account the relevant labour, social insurance, and tax regulations
• Preparation of withholding tax, social insurance, and annual declarations as well as execution of year-end tasks including ELM transmission
• Competent contact person for employees, managers, and external parties on all payroll and social insurance related questions
• Coordination of payroll accounting with financial accounting and participation in monthly and annual closings
• Preparation of HR key figures, statistics, and evaluations as well as involvement in personnel budget planning
• Support in the further development and optimisation of payroll processes and the HR system Abacus
• Support of the HR team in administrative tasks and taking on deputising roles within the department

Your profile

• Completed commercial basic training with further education as a personnel administrator as well as payroll specialist or payroll expert
• Further education as a social insurance administrator is an advantage
• Several years of professional experience in independent payroll processing as well as sound knowledge of the Swiss payroll and social insurance system
• Solid user knowledge in Abacus payroll accounting, MS Office (especially Excel) as well as a strong IT and system affinity
• Understanding of the connections between payroll and financial accounting
• Precise, structured, and responsible working style as well as high discretion and reliability
• Strong service orientation, team spirit, and enjoyment in interacting with different stakeholders
• High initiative, enjoyment of independent work as well as a solution-oriented, entrepreneurial mindset
