Tasks
Administrative processing: You take on a central hub function and independently handle incoming reports and enquiries. In addition, you perform a variety of administrative office tasks and support the specialist staff.
Providing telephone and personal information: You are the central contact point for telephone and personal concerns, provide general information and forward these to the responsible offices if necessary.
Maintaining the client database: You record and process cases, maintain client and case data, and carry out mutations as well as other administrative processing in the specialised systems.
Project work: You participate in projects and working groups on various topics of the Child and Adult Protection Authority.
Profile
Experience: You bring several years of experience from the commercial sector and are familiar with common commercial software programmes. Ideally, you have experience in dealing with customers and knowledge of child and adult protection law (KESR).
Personality: You work independently, carefully, reliably and efficiently. You are trustworthy and service-oriented. You maintain a professional approach with people from various life situations and contribute actively to the team.
Education: You have completed commercial training (EFZ).
Language: You have very good German skills and communicate appropriately both orally and in writing. Additional language skills are an advantage.

The Child and Adult Protection Authority (KESB) Basel-Stadt, which belongs to the Department of Economy, Social Affairs and Environment, is responsible for protecting adults, adolescents and children who are in need of support or assistance for various reasons. It actively advocates for their welfare and offers a wide range of different services. Around 65 employees deal with topics such as parental custody, guardianship and custodianship.
