Are you an experienced accounting professional who likes to get hands-on and share your knowledge within the team? Do you enjoy automation and process optimisation and want to not only manage finance but improve it step by step?
As Head of Accounting & Finance Transformation, you are responsible for the operational accounting of our hospitality portfolio, from month-end closing to audit. At the same time, you modernise the end-to-end finance processes. You build your team, lead it both professionally and disciplinarily, and develop an efficient, scalable finance organisation together with Operations and IT.
What you can achieveDay-to-day business & transformation
- Responsibility for the entire month-end close with the goal of a fast close through standardised bookings, automated reconciliations and accruals
- Standardisation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting according to Swiss GAAP FER, IFRS and USALI
- Redesign of end-to-end processes RtR, PtP and OtC, focusing on automation and high data quality
- Optimisation of cash, bank and credit card reconciliations through automated matching
Process efficiency & systems
- Redesign of night audit and daily revenue reporting, with closer integration of PMS, POS and general ledger
- Further development of PtP and OtC: AP automation, e-invoicing, credit management and debt collection for group and corporate clients
- Identification and implementation of automation and efficiency potentials
Compliance
- Timely VAT returns, payroll deductions and other levies
- Central contact person for external auditors and tax authorities
- Design and automation of internal controls for fraud prevention and protection of company assets
- Participation in annual budgeting and rolling planning
Team & collaboration
- Building, professional and disciplinary leadership and coaching of the accounting team across multiple sites
- Role definition and recruitment together with the Talent Attraction team
- Clear goals, regular employee discussions, development and career paths
- Close collaboration with CFO, Operations, IT and HR; representation of the finance department to management
What you bring
- Several years of professional experience in finance and accounting, ideally in the hotel or service sector, with hands-on operational accounting experience (closing, accounts payable/receivable, VAT)
- Experience in leading and developing an accounting team and enjoyment in sharing knowledge
- Good understanding of Swiss Code of Obligations and internal control systems; knowledge of IFRS and USALI
- Experience with modern ERP systems and process optimisation (RtR, PtP, OtC); practical experience in AP/AR automation, BI/reporting and Excel (pivot tables and data analysis are your forte)
- Analytical, solution-oriented and pragmatic working style with a "can-do" mindset
- Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with finance, operations and IT
- German and English at C1 level
- Completed studies in finance or further training such as accounting specialist certificate, CPA, ACCA or CA
Advantageous:
- Experience with SAP, Oracle or SUN and ERP transformations
- Knowledge of Opera PMS, Yooz or Power BI
- Interest in AI and machine learning in accounting
- Experience across multiple locations or business units
Work location: Andermatt, on-site 4-5 days a week during the first 3 months (accommodation can be provided for the onboarding process), thereafter 3 days per week on-site, the rest possible from home office
