What you can achieve

• Operational controls and checks within the framework of the trade compliance system; participation in its further development
• Tariff classification, determination of origin/preference as well as sanctions and export control-related clarifications including documentation and maintenance
• Contact person for customs authorities, external service providers and internal stakeholders
• Preparation and support for audits and customs inspections; analyses and proposals for measures on trade developments and trade compliance risks
• Maintenance of work instructions/documentation on relevant customs, export control and foreign trade law topics as well as conducting training and projects

What you bring with you

• Commercial training plus further education in customs/foreign trade, e.g. foreign trade specialist with a federal certificate
• Experience in the areas of customs, export control & sanctions and international foreign trade
• Knowledge of international customs regulations, export control law, sanctions/embargoes, origin and preference law, customs value, tariff classification and free trade agreements
• Experience with ERP/customs systems; very good German and English; experience with AI tools is an advantage
• Independent, analytical working style as well as strong communication and project skills
