What you can achieve
- Demand and consumption analyses: Conducting demand and consumption analyses to optimise material disposition and procurement strategies considering trends, seasonality, and plan-actual deviations
- Replenishment times and stockholding strategies: Monitoring and optimising replenishment times, stockholding, reorder and safety stocks in the ERP system considering material criticality, availability, and cost-effectiveness
- ERP system maintenance and disposition parameters: Maintaining and continuously optimising material master data, disposition parameters, and batch sizes in the ERP system as well as reviewing and ensuring the plausibility of order proposals generated from these
- Defective assembly management: Managing defective assemblies from inventory and consumption monitoring through disposition of reconditioning and repairs to the return of repaired units to stock
- Inventory management: Analysing and controlling inventory, including fast movers (High Runners) and materials with low turnover rates (Low Movers), as well as identifying and phasing out obsolete stock and assisting in implementing inventory optimisation measures
- Interface function: Close collaboration with production planning (AVOR) to coordinate manufacturing dates and material requirements as well as working with purchasing to coordinate procurement processes, supplier management, and deadline monitoring
What you bring
- Completed commercial or technical training, ideally with further education in material management, logistics, or supply chain
- Experience in disposition and inventory management, especially in a technical environment
- Solid knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. SAP S/4HANA)
- Good analytical skills and confident use of Excel and evaluation tools
- High sense of responsibility for material availability and process reliability
- Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented working style
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team with interface departments
- Fluent German and good English skills in writing and speaking

The service offering of the Business Segment Tracked Vehicles focuses on providing services for tracked vehicles of the Swiss Army as well as international customers.
Within the scope of business cases, the operational readiness of the Swiss Army's systems is primarily ensured with our expertise in project planning, maintenance, and system support.
Whether the customer commissions an extension of use, the development of new solutions for the platforms, or the maintenance of systems or subsystems at RUAG, our focus is on cost, quality, and meeting deadlines.
With our expertise in Order & Contract Management, Integrated Logistics, and System Support, we are available to our customers to deliver the required services.
As Dispatcher Maintenance & Material Control Tracked Vehicles, you ensure continuous material availability through system-supported planning and control. This includes analysing consumption and demand data, managing replenishment times, reorder and safety stocks, as well as proactively controlling inventory management. A central task area is also the management of defective assemblies to ensure maintenance processes. The role is closely linked with production planning (AVOR) and purchasing and is in direct contact with project and system managers.
