How you can contribute
- Guarantee the year-round operation of the army kitchen
- Ensure the deputy role for the head of the army kitchen
- Co-responsible for troop catering for up to 3000 army personnel and able, together with the team, to pre-produce meals and dishes for special dietary requirements, which are completed in troop and/or satellite kitchens
- Bear overall responsibility for bookkeeping
- Coordinate menu planning, be responsible for purchasing, and ensure billing and portion exchange of the army kitchen
- Co-responsible for implementing legal requirements and professional regulations
What makes you unique
- Head chef (federal diploma) with several years of professional experience (sous-chef or head chef preferably in collective catering)
- Experience in finance and accounting
- Military training advantageous (quartermaster/cook)
- Experience in apprentice and adult education
- Oral and written knowledge of a second official language
- Driving licence category B

The Training Command (Kdo Ausb) is responsible for training within the Swiss Army – from recruitment through basic training to leadership training for the militia and professional military. The Kdo Ausb includes advanced leadership training, army personnel, five training units, the training centre, as well as the specialist office for women in the army and diversity. One third of the approximately 2,350 employees work in civilian professions in scientific, technical, medical, psychological, administrative or sporting fields and contribute to success together with the professional military.
The Swiss Army employs over 9,000 staff in four military and around 200 civilian professions – at 110 locations throughout Switzerland. The next generation is also taken care of: the Swiss Army trains apprentices in over 30 professions.
